1.Only ever use three notes,
this way you can never be out of key.
2. If you can hear your bassline it's not low enough.
A bassline is simply there to make the furniture, walls, etc.
shake (the more the better).
3. Ideally you should be using sine waves, but if
these aren't available saw tooth waves are accaptable.
(as long as they go through a sine wave filter).
4. Use any auto quantise features on your sequencer;
this will help remove any timing errors. I actually find that
anylising the quantise with a spectrometer is usefull for checking
any timing errors (errors in the order of 0.0001 Nanosecond being
acceptable).
5. Lastly, find youself an audience to check your
creation out on. If one isn't available, kidnap a few people.
Your bassline is a success if the crowd display the following
symptons:
-Bowel problems (preferably with soiling)
-Nausea
-Loss of consciousness
-Deafness
-Spinal injury
-Personality disorder
